Bridle!

I just finished this brown hunter bridle! It has laced reins and raised nose and brow bands. I wanted to take photos of the lacing, but my camera died after I took about five pictures (darn!).

I will be the first to say that I am not the best tack maker out there, but I feel that my tack pieces are improving bit by bit :) I am really quite happy with the way the reins and the tongues on the buckles turned out.

First post!

Hi all, my name is Amy, and I am a new face in the model horse tack making world! I enjoy making itty bitty bridles, saddles and other accessoires for model horses. I am also a model horse customizer (just for myself mostly), and I occasionally make a 2D painting or drawing of real life animals too.

I started making tack for my own models just for fun. Below is an example of one of the bridles I made for them quite some time ago. Now my tack has improved a lot already, but I hope to improve it more in the future. I will post some of my recent tack in a new post soon :)
One of my early bridles - this one was made a year or two ago

I currently live in Italy with my family and my crazy dog, Harvey (also known as Bunsti, Frunsti Dunsti, or Frunni Munni - don't even ask why). Here's a picture... it should explain why he has the crazy names (or if it wasn't obvious: to match his character :D )

Well, that's all for now I think... I hope to show my progress in tackmaking on this blog, and I hope to perhaps inspire beginning tackmakers by showing that anyone can learn to make beautiful tack with just some practice! :)
